Welcome to Delish Map

Hi, we’re Emily and Alexa, two home cooks, storytellers, and food-obsessed friends who somehow found our way to each other’s kitchens.

Delish Map began as Emily’s little corner of the internet, born out of her memories of her grandmother’s kitchen in upstate New York.

Over the years, it’s grown into something more, a space not just for recipes, but for connection, comfort, and shared stories.

And now, with Alexa joining in, it feels even more like a real kitchen table: filled with two voices, two perspectives, and double the love for food.

How It All Started

Emily grew up watching her grandmother cook without recipes, flour-dusted hands moving like she knew secrets no book could ever teach.

Years later, in the middle of New York City’s chaos, she found herself missing that rhythm, and so she returned to cooking, sharing her dishes online in 2020.

What started as a few recipes quickly turned into a community of home cooks who understood that food is never just food, it’s memory, it’s comfort, it’s love.

Alexa’s path was a little different. She didn’t start out thinking of herself as a “cook” at all.

She was the kind of person who thought boiling pasta was a big achievement.
But somewhere between late-night experiments, scribbled notes on napkins, and a determination to feed the people she cared about, she fell in love with cooking too.

Her style is playful, curious, sometimes a little messy, the kind of cooking that reminds you not to take yourself too seriously in the kitchen.

Why We’re Here Together

We both believe food has this quiet power: it brings people together, slows us down, and leaves room for conversation that might not happen otherwise.

So whether you come here for cozy weeknight dinners, family-inspired recipes, or just a little reminder that food doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful, we’re so glad you’re here.

On Delish Map, you’ll find:

Dishes rooted in memory, culture, and the joy of sharing

Comforting, approachable recipes made with real ingredients

A mix of “grandma-style” heartwarming meals and fun, modern kitchen experiments

Let’s Cook Something Together

We’re not chefs, and we’re not here to impress you with flawless techniques. We’re here to cook like real people, with stories, laughter, and maybe a few spilled spices along the way.

Thanks for pulling up a chair at our table. We hope this little space feels like home for you, too.

With warmth,

Emily & Alexa
